Jacqueline S. Allen, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Allen is a native of Ames, Iowa.  After graduating in 1982 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Dental Hygiene, she moved to Big Spring, Texas to teach Dental Hygiene.  She practiced Dental Hygiene for ten years before returning to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

While in dental school, Dr. Allen was enrolled in the Honors Endodontics program, and sat on the Dental Admissions Committee as a voting student member. 

Immediately following graduation from dental school, Dr. Allen entered the Endodontic Program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and upon completion received her Endodontic Certificate and Masters Degree.

In 2005, Dr. Allen was recognized as a finalist in the dental category by the Phoenix Business Journal as a "Health Care Hero" for the work she does with the John C. Lincoln Children's Clinic.  Dr. Allen believes strongly in giving back to the community and she makes her services available to various charitable organizations.

Currently a member of the Arizona Dental Association, American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontics, Dr. Allen believes education is a satisfying and never ending process.

Scottsdale had become the home of her parents and three of her four brothers during her trek through school.  She moved to the Phoenix area to be close to her family after she finished her formal education. Dr. Allen and her husband currently have four children enrolled in college.

Joseph S. Dovgan, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Dovgan  was born in Omaha, Nebraska but raised in New Mexico and Colorado. Upon returning to his birthplace, Dr. Dovgan attended Creighton University for his undergraduate degree in physics.  

Dr. Dovgan also received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Creighton.

Dr. Dovgan continued on with his specialty training at the University of Iowa and received a Certificate of Endodontics and a Masters of Science degree.

Dr. Dovgan is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and College of Diplomates. Being a "Board Certified” Endodontist is an honor that reflects Dr. Dovgan's committment to his work and to his patients.

Like many other people, Dr. Dovgan came to Phoenix during wintertime  to visit and found the warm weather quite agreeable and decided to open his practice here - the year was 1990.

Dr. Dovgan  can also be found delivering lectures both nationally and across the globe.  Additionally, Dr. Dovgan is a published author for many various  publications which relate to the practice of dentistry and endodontics.  

Dr. Dovgan is an advisor for Summit Dental Study Club and Endodontic Practice Magazine. He also co-founded and teachs endodontic continuing education with Dr. John S. Stropko DDS at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Dovgan's dedication to his profession has led him to earn numberous patents for innovative designs in endodontic equipment, products and techniques.

Percy B. Twine, Jr., DMD

Dr. Percy B. Twine Jr. is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. In 1994 Dr. Twine attended The Pennsylvania State University where he completed bachelor and masters degree programs in the esoteric field of Food Science.

Food science is a discipline concerned with all technical aspects of food.  It is considered one of the agricultural sciences, and is usually considered distinct from the field of nutrition.  Food science is a highly interdisciplinary applied science. It incorporates concepts from many different fields including microbiology, chemical engineering, biochemistry, and many others.
 
Upon the completion of his graduate studies at Penn State in 2001, Dr. Twine, decided to pursue a career in dentistry. He attended The University of Pennsylvania for his dental training.  Dr. Twine continued his specialty training in endodontics at The Louisiana State University
 
Dr. Twine is currently a member of the Arizona Dental Association  (AzDA), and a board-eligible American Association of Endodontics. Board eligibility is conferred upon an educationally qualified endodontist whose application and credentials have the approval of the American Board of Endodontists. 
 
A board eligible endodontist is in the process of achieving board certification and must complete it within a given timeframe; otherwise, they forfeit board eligibility status.
 
Dr. Twine has been treating patients at the Paradise Valley office since June of 2008 and he currently lives in Phoenix with his fiancé and two, soon-to-be, stepdaughters. Most Sundays in the fall,  you will find them somewhere rooting on their favorite NFL team - The Pittsburgh Steelers.
